The first time I saw Meg perform was at some little bar/pool pub on Belmont. I can't remember the name of the place. All I can remember was sitting there with my mouth kinda open, shocked that I was seeing someone this talented and all it had cost me was four-fifty for my Newcastle Brown. Not to sound poetic, but yes to sound a little poetic, Meg Baier's music sounds like the broken heart of rock n roll mended. Check her out at megbaier.com or at www.myspace.com/megbaier.
Joey Piacentini took his last drag Saturday afternoon. And he did it at record speed. His previous time, for smoking a complete cigarette was a minute, forty. Now it's 51 seconds and that's fast!
