church and state - thoughts on a plastic window - by an ex wise man

insanity strikes the people
and they scatter in tragedy
only to become aware years later

the solemn few.

a government maintains order
in a society where worship is free.

to ensure proper production,
man's religion
is best kept seperate from
man's government.

understand?

Modern Guilt by Beck

Here's my opinion:

It's Beck saying, "You may think I'm a little weird but, hey look, I can be normal too."

It's grainy and a little rough around some of its edges.

It speaks.

It's actually real rock n' roll (something of a rarity).

It's definitely not Beck's best. Of course, I really don't think we've heard Beck's best yet.

It's a decently entertaining, well-put-together album (also something of a rarity these days).

That's all.

Age

As I get older, my showers get hotter but my heart gets colder.
I have to keep reminding myself - Age is just the number of years
someone has been living.

The great Russian novelist and historian Alexander Solzhenitsyn has died at 89. His work which detailed (often quite humorously) the Soviet labor camp system include 'One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich' and the three-part masterpiece 'The Gulag Archipelago.' Solzhenitsyn was truly one of the world's last great writers.
